The Amigo 24 trip has come and gone but that doesn’t mean God’s work is finished. Come join us for the Amigo Project Report to hear the testimonies of those that served on the trip as well as much of the happenings from beginning to end. This is an exciting time to hear about what God has accomplished and the relationships that were built and fostered. If you are able please bring a meal to share for the potluck.

Trip 25 is already in the works so if you have ever considered going, this is an awesome time to hear from others on what the trip is all about. We hope to see you there!

Westminster Woods Summer Camp

It's time to sign up for summer camp! We are taking next year's 3rd-6th graders to Fall River Kansas for a week of sun, fun, and growing in their walk with God. They will learn about how God relentlessly pursues them and how this should cause them to relentlessly pursue Him in return.

We will be taking a van to camp for both the 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade camp weeks. We will collect a $10 fee for gas on the day we leave. First click on the link to register to attend Camp through the Westminster Wood Camp website. Second please fill out the form to register for transportation. You must be registered with Westminster Woods Camp to secure your spot in our van. The registration deadline to avoid a $35 late fee is April 2nd.

What is Big Serve?

Big Serve is an exciting opportunity for us as a church body to be the hands and feet of Jesus. On April 21st instead of having our typical church service we will be having an abbreviated single service at 9am. After that we will load up into teams and go out into our communities and meet the physical needs of the people around us. Last year we went to over 20 different sites answering Jesus’ call to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Whether we’re prone to stuffing our emotions or being controlled by them, it can leave us in a messy knot. Hallelujah, we don’t have to stay all tied up; untangling our emotions is possible with Jesus! 

At the next Legacy, Jessica Alexander and Julie Friesen will share what they are learning about how emotions are truly God’s good gift to us as we explore how to better understand and engage emotions with the Lord and others.

Grace Students join us March 3rd as we travel from Grace to intrust Bank Arena in Wichita for Winter Jam. Winter jam is an AWESOME Christian music concert made up of your favorite Christian artists like Crowder, Lecrae, Cain, Katy Nichile, Seventh Day Slumber, Newsong, Zane Black, and Joseph O'Brien. Transportation is provided but spots are limited so make sure to sign up ASAP! 

After church on March 3rd head home and grab lunch then meet us back at Grace by 1pm. We will be taking vans to Wichita to get in line so we can get the best seats possible! As soon as the concert is over we will make our way back to the church. The concert is estimated to be 3 1/2 hours but has been known to go later close to 11. We will be in communication with parents via the students text line, when we are headed back to newton. Text “transformparent” to 316-445-9591 to receive Text updates.

Please bring $15 cash to get into the concert and whatever spending money you would like for dinner or merchandise.

Student Camp 2024, it’s about to go DOWN! 6-12th graders pack your bags because we’re spending July 15th through 19th on mission, having fun, meeting new people, and growing closer to our savior!

Every moment spent at FUGE Camps is intentional. Camp programming is designed to take students out of their normal routine and place them into an environment that is focused on life-change through relationship with Christ. At camp, we will jump into ministry and serve in local communities surrounding Fort Worth.

Come to the Fiesta in the Activity Center for food and fellowship. Our traditional Amigo meal consists of DELUXE Tostada and homemade desserts. All proceeds of this fundraiser goes directly to Children's Haven International home as a love offering to the ministry. Please consider being in attendance or grabbing a take out meal. We hope to see you there!

We will serve the meal after both services at 10:30 and 12:00. Feel free to grab a "take out" meal for anyone that cannot stay after the services.

Our belief in selecting local church leadership is more than a nomination and voting process. The church body is asked to confirm the character and integrity of those serving it in leadership. We need your help evaluating whether or not these men live a life that is biblically qualified for Eldership. These men must demonstrate not perfection, but a pattern of maturity and soundness of character. Please give us your prayerful and honest evaluation.

Evaluations will be held from Jan 14th until January 28th, 2024. Please fill out an evaluation form (below) for any candidate that you know.

A Vote will be held on February 4th, 2024. A quorum is needed and at least two- thirds majority member confirmation is needed for theses men to be passed as elders. If you are unable to be present for the February 4th vote absentee voting will be available online or you can call in to the church office between the dates of January 29th and February 4th. The New Hope Shelter needs our help! We're excited to celebrate that the New Hope Shelter has a new building, but first we need to help move them in! On January 13th we will need 3 teams of 6 people (18 Total) to help sort items to be packed up and moved. Then on January 27th the moving begins and we will need 6 teams of 6 (36 total) to help them pack up and unload in their new building! Help us meet New Hope Shelter's needs so they can continue to meets the needs of many others to come!

We’re planting a church! Grace Community Church along with all of the other Synergy Kansas Churches have identified El Dorado Kansas as a great place for a new church and we believe the Lord is leading us to plant there. We’re going to need faithful believers to help plant this church and this is where you come in. Sunday January 7th Jay Nickless (the El Dorado Church Planter) will be at Grace to share God’s desire for furthering the Church during both services. He will also be holding an interest meeting giving the opportunity to learn more about how you can be involved!

We are glad to partner with other local churches for the 28th Annual Community Thanksgiving meal! Taking part in this event is a tangible way for us to love the people around us. We are excited about this opportunity to meet physical needs, while also ministering to people in our community.

Please sign up if you can help. This is a huge event that requires many volunteers and we appreciate everyone that can help out. Our desire is that people who don't have a place to go on Thanksgiving Day, can come and get a good meal and some encouragement.

Please review our needs and sign up for a way to contribute to this service for our community.
