Sunday School Summer Break

This summer we're trying out a longer, ten week Sunday school break.  We have a vision for families worshiping together, and we want to bless our faithful volunteers with some time to rest and renew.  There will not be Sunday School for Kindergarten through Middle School Igniter from June 4 through August 6.

Nursery will be available all summer, as well as children's church for the 3s and PreK classes. Please consider serving in the nursery while our regular volunteers are on break. Contact Lori Jordan, lorijordangcc@gmail.com.

July Mission Emphasis

In July, Extend will be hosting two of our missionaries and they will each be giving updates about their work.

Rolly and Robyn Walters Update
July 9 at 2pm, Fireside Room

In addition, we will do our annual Christmas in July fundraiser on these days to send a personal Christmas gift to each of our missionaries. Each year Extend sends an extra love gift from Grace to each of our Grace supported missionaries; last year we were able to send a gift of $175 to each missionary unit. There will be an envelope in the program on July 2 to place your love gift in.

Thank you for praying about how the Lord would lead you to extend love and support to our missionaries!

Growing in the Dark

Growing in the Dark is a support group for women facing anxiety and depression. It meets monthly and strives to bring women together in community that understands each others' struggles with anxiety and depression. We want to foster a place where women can share freely, be known, and encourage each other to engage in the hard work of "struggling well." This includes techniques that help us to cope day-to-day and retrain our brains long-term. We also desperately want to help each other know Christ more and grow in our relationship with Him, who is the true Healer.

This month's meeting will be held in the Fireside Room.

Legacy

Spring will soon be here and so will our Legacy: Spring event. To welcome the new calendar season, we will be challenged to think about life’s seasons as Bobbie Friesen shares thoughts on the topic “Living with Seasons.” She will help us to think through questions such as How are your seasons of life ‘seasoning’ you? Is your portion of “usable faith” growing?

Lisa Peterson will also briefly share about her volunteer work at safehope (formerly Harvey County Safe House). Two opportunities will be given to help this organization which provides advocacy and support to women caught in domestic and sexual violence. The first one will be to prepare freezer meals on April 8 for families that shelter there. The second opportunity will be to donate money to buy supplies to make those meals.

Invite a friend to enjoy this evening with you! Dinner and babysitting will be provided. Register here or at the Sign Up Station on March 19 and 26. All donations from this meeting will go toward safehope.
