Growing in the Dark

Growing in the Dark is a support group for women facing anxiety and depression. It meets monthly and strives to bring women together in community that understands each others' struggles with anxiety and depression. We want to foster a place where women can share freely, be known, and encourage each other to engage in the hard work of "struggling well." This includes techniques that help us to cope day-to-day and retrain our brains long-term. We also desperately want to help each other know Christ more and grow in our relationship with Him, who is the true Healer.

This month's meeting will be held in the Fireside Room.

Legacy

Spring will soon be here and so will our Legacy: Spring event. To welcome the new calendar season, we will be challenged to think about life’s seasons as Bobbie Friesen shares thoughts on the topic “Living with Seasons.” She will help us to think through questions such as How are your seasons of life ‘seasoning’ you? Is your portion of “usable faith” growing?

Lisa Peterson will also briefly share about her volunteer work at safehope (formerly Harvey County Safe House). Two opportunities will be given to help this organization which provides advocacy and support to women caught in domestic and sexual violence. The first one will be to prepare freezer meals on April 8 for families that shelter there. The second opportunity will be to donate money to buy supplies to make those meals.

Invite a friend to enjoy this evening with you! Dinner and babysitting will be provided. Register here or at the Sign Up Station on March 19 and 26. All donations from this meeting will go toward safehope.
