growing in the dark
Growing in the Dark is a support group for women facing anxiety and depression. It meets monthly and strives to bring women together in community that understands each others' struggles with anxiety and depression. We want to foster a place where women can share freely, be known, and encourage each other to engage in the hard work of "struggling well." This includes techniques that help us to cope day-to-day and retrain our brains long-term. We also desperately want to help each other know Christ more and grow in our relationship with Him, who is the true Healer.
Growing in the Dark meets the second Monday of the month, from 7:00-8:30PM at Norm's Coffee Bar (613 N Main, Newton). Registration not required.
Our one-to-one ministry encourages and provides direction for anyone who wants to be involved in a discipleship
relationship, either as a mentor or as
someone being mentored!
Is life difficult or lonely? Do you want to grow with Jesus and in your understanding of the Bible? Or maybe you are experiencing infertility or child loss and would like someone to walk that journey with you. A mentor can show us step-by-step how to live well before God, holding our hand, giving encouragement. This could be an older woman teaching a younger woman or a peer-to-peer mentoring relationship.
