All-Church Christmas Caroling

Christmas Caroling 2018.jpg

Sunday, December 16 | 4:00pm, soup supper at 6:30pm | Activity Center

Our 5th annual Christmas Caroling night will be Sunday December 16th! Whether you can carry a tune or you simply make a joyful noise to the Lord, this is a great opportunity to enjoy fellowship with others while spreading Christmas cheer.

2017 saw over 30 crockpots of soup and 175 participants, with hundreds hearing the story of Jesus's birth through song and scripture! This is a family-friendly event for everyone to enjoy, so load up your car and bring everyone along!

There are two sign up forms: one for caroling and one for bringing food to the soup supper. Please sign up for one or both below by Sunday, December 9th:

Pro-tip: most groups will be caroling indoors, so come dressed in layers that can be easily removed so you don’t find yourself burning up while singing next to a fireplace.

Contact Pastor Kyle at kyleschanbachergcc@gmail.com with any questions.

Part of our ministry as a church is aimed at partnering with parents to develop children who love God, love people, and lead others to do the same. This fall, we are giving special attention to families, and particularly to equipping parents to raise their children according to Gospel principles.

This class is a follow-up to the parenting conference we held on October 13, but you do not need to have attended the conference for the class to be valuable. This final session will be exploring the topic of false gods in parenting.

There is no cost for attending the class and registration is not needed, simply come join us!

Amigo 21 registration deadline

Amigo 21.jpg

We are assembling the team for our Amigo 21 family mission trip to Children's Haven International in Reynosa, Mexico!

Our purpose to love God, love people, and lead others to do the same is both a local- and a global mission. We have a 20 year legacy of going as families to serve the ministry of Children's Haven International and now is the time for you to join for year 21.

This trip is a great way to put your faith into action and apply the Great Commission of Jesus outside of our “Jerusalem” as we

  • use our hands and feet (repairing and remodeling)

  • share our lives and the gospel with the children and staff

  • experience life in another culture

  • deepen our interaction with each other

  • get to know the Lord more intimately

Investing a week in service to those whom God cares deeply about will stretch us, give us a new appreciation for how much we have, and encourage us by the joyful hospitality we receive.

You can find more information about schedule and cost on the brochure below. To register, fill out the form on the brochure and return to Pastor Steve Friesen in mailbox #178 by October 21, 2018.

Please pray about joining this adventure. We’d love to have you come along!
