Jack has lived on military bases all over the world, but he spent his teenage years in the Metro Detroit area. At the age of 16, he gave his life over to God. He realized that nothing could ever satisfy his soul, or forgive him of his wrongs...except Jesus. Ever since then his life has never been the same.
Jack knew that God was calling him to teach the Bible, so after high school he moved to Mississippi to pursue a B.A. in Biblical Studies and B.S. in Business Administration. While attending Blue Mountain College, he found and married the most wonderful and beautiful woman he has ever known, Courtney.
They lived in the Memphis, TN area for 6 years, where Jack served as an Associate Pastor and Youth Minister. He also received a Master of Divinity degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. Eventually God started moving his heart back toward Downriver, Michigan. After spending two years as a pastor at Metro City Church (metrocitychurch.tv) God moved his heart to take his next step in life. He now gladly serves here as the lead pastor. He loves his role of following God's leadership and direction for Grace, helping to develop biblically grounded followers of Jesus.
Jack loves being a father to two rambunctious little boys and one precious little girl. He and his wife are expecting twins in December.
Jack's favorite things:
- Teaching the Bible
- Playing games and working on the house with his family
- Trying new foods with his wife

Dave and Marilyn have three grown children, eight incredibly adorable grandchildren, and the assorted grand-cat that drops in for awhile. When not building Sunday messages, his interests are making wood chips in his shop (out of which an occasional piece of furniture appears), flea-market outings with Marilyn, or repeated attempts to launch a golf ball into some semblance of controlled flight.
