Together=Unity in the Body, Doing Life Together, Discipleship is a Team Effort

In Christ=The center of all we do and all we are (Col. 2:6-7)

How do we get there?

Plug people into a Community Life Group

3 Types of Groups

Foyer (Find Community)

Purpose: Help people FIND community

Distinctives:

·        Come as you are, when you can

·        New believers’ groups from JH

·        New people to Grace

·        NO time commitment

·        NO formal study

·        Prayer

·        Care

·        Informal Getting together in someone’s home

·        OPEN year round

Leadership Needs:

·        Hospitality

·        Facilitate discussion

·        Heart for new people and/or unbelievers

Goals:

·        A Living Room Group forms

·        People come to know Christ as Savior

·        People connect with others from GCC without feeling intimidated by a big Church

Living Room (Familiar with Community)

Purpose: Help people to develop FAMILIAIRITY with one another and build trusting relationships.

Distinctives:

·        Commit to a School Year (Entry and Exit points clearly defined)

·        Choose studies to fit group’s needs

·        Prayer

·        Care/Minister

·        Group size 12-14 people MAX

Leadership needs:

·        Able to teach or facilitate, or find someone who can

·        Organize group meetings

·        Delegate responsibilities

·        Shepherd Group

Goals:

·        A Kitchen Group forms

·        Grow to love one another

·        People come to know Christ as Savior

Kitchen (Have become Family)

Purpose: Know one another like FAMILY, growing together in Christ.

Disctinctives:

·        Stay together for a longer period of time (2-3 years)

·        Study

·        Prayer

·        Care/Minister

·        Accountability

·        Meet constantly outside of official group meetings (living life together)

·        Not open to new people unless all feel strongly otherwise

Goals:

·        Grow spiritually, relationally with Christ at the center

·        Accountability groups form (men to men and women to women)
