Elmer and Tina Reimer ~ Thru the Bible
I am Pastor Dave Reimer's father. After pastoring for 55 years, I took on the privilege of being the Low German voice for Dr. J. Vernon McGee's Thru the Bible 5 Year Radio teaching program. I translate the programs from English into Low German, record them, and send them on to a co-worker in Ontario, Canada, who prepares them with introduction, closing and music, and then sends them to the various stations that broadcast the programs.
Presently, the Low German programs are broadcast on 9 radio stations in South America, Mexico, Belize and Canada. This is a 5 year project with a total of approximately 1,297 programs to translate and record. As of 8-29-07 I have translated 700 programs. My part of each program is around 22-23 minutes long.
This is a missionary endeavor under the umbrella of Transworld Radio. We are Missionaries with The Evangelical Free Church of Canada Missions. We are supported as regular missionaries. Grace Community Church, Newton, Kansas is our sending agency in the United States.
